Charis comes from the Greek work “Charis” which means Grace. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9. We are saved by grace, not by works so that no man can boast. It is the gift of God the salvation of our souls through the death of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior and King. It was grace that God reaches towards us at Christ expense. And it is also because of the grace of God that Charis Now Foundation came into reality.
Rebecca Daluddung is the founder of Charis Now Foundation. She is a born again Christian more than twenty years ago. Her love and passion for God was very intense and grows everyday over the years. Her knowledge thorugh the word of God brings her to her knees and changes all her entire life and dreams. Her favourite verse in the Bible is the parable of the talents. And she commented, Do you want to know why I am serving the Lord? All I can say to you is that Because of the love of God and God’s grace in my life, I am who I am today because of God. God has changed me, mold me, equipped me and used me for his glory.
For many are called, but few are chosen…. I can only picture myself when the time comes, when I see Jesus face to face and hear him say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter now into my Kingdom.” It would be my greatest joy to be finally with Jesus after all life is over. To have an eternal life and eternal rewards that never fades away.
All of the directors have their own story of how God had called them and use their life to touch others life. Charis is just a vehicle that we can use it for the glory of God.
